Dr. Foose named Missouri Facilitator of the Year

A professor at Northwest Missouri State University has been named Missouri Facilitator of the Year by the Missouri Department of Conservation.

Associate Professor of Recreation Dr. Alice Foose was awarded the title for her dedication to teaching environmental education. Foose with Project Water Education for Teachers, Project Wildlife in Learning Design, Project WILD aquatic, Flying WILD, and Project Learning Tree, a set of curricula for educating students about the environment while linking to skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Foose joined the Northwest faculty in 2006 and has a doctorate in leisure behavior, a master's degree in park and recreation administration with an emphasis on outdoor therapeutic recreation, and a bachelor's degree in psychology.
